Antigua Trip Report

phelana | Aug 21, 2006 09:44 PM

I used to reside in Antigua and go back now yearly for a trip to see family, business related work and this time Carnival.

We dined very spartan this trip. We did strictly local and wish to say Roti King On St. Mary's St. still has the best Trini style roti. No bones, lovely curry and flaky delish roti made with Ghee. We had Ting of course for drinks. This is a noisey chaotic place but a blast. We had a few meals at The Beach on Dickenson Bay. The staff was very courteous, free wi fi and super menu but alas, the food was very dissappointing. The setting is magical so I recommend burgers and drinks. Our fav was lunch at Turner's Beach. We had lobster salad and curry chicken with views of Montserrat. They made a killer lime squash. Imagine eating near the sand with the turquoise blue calling out ..lovely.
