went to antica pizzeria, which I've heard so much about, for the first time last night and I have a mixed review. we had a salad to start-the one with radicchio, endive, arugula, gorgonzola and walnuts-which was delicious and got my hopes up for the pizza I ordered-the quattro staggione (sp?). I was a disappointed. It wasn't totally inedible, but it was extremely soggy in the center and the mussels and clams on part of it were rubbery and disgusting. The whole basil leaves were tough and kind of bitter. I've had the quattro staggione at Trastavere on the 3rd st. promenade and thought it was much much better. My BF had the chicken with proscuitto and he seemed to like it (he's not as picky as me) but I thought it was totally overseasoned with sage, and came with a side of overcooked mixed vegetables. Did we order the wrong things? If so, please give me some recommendations of which dishes/pizzas are good.
