We ate at Mulligan's(a local favorite)the first night there.
They have the best smoked wings I've ever had.
Good food in a local pub atmosphere(we usually eat in the bar;no kids & livelier crowd IOO.)
For Breakfast we ate at "Up for Breakfast" on Main Street across from the bank on the 2nd. floor.
Blueberry Venison Sausage was a favorite and their home-made hash was outstanding!
They have an outstanding breakfast menu.
The Little Rooster Cafe is another good breakfast place but we stayed with Up For Breakfast this time because every meal was such a great experience.
They also have a friendly jolly staff as well.
We ate at "The Bean" a mexican restaurant across from the Orvis store twice.
The margaritas were great and they made their own salsa which was outstanding also.
We did a lot of appetizers there at the bar while drinking their margaritas.
All their food was outstanding.
Chanticleer was out restaurant of choice for dinner and you ask locals their favorite restaurant the name "Chanticleer" is on most people's lips.
The food is outstanding(my marinated steak was fine)and the service impeccable.
We didn't get to try the Black Swan this trip(so many good restaurtants,so little time)but we heard tht the old owners didn't sell the place so I would expect this place is as fine as ever.
Others we were with ate at Candeleros,The Dorset Inn,and The Perfect Wife and had praise for all of these places.
The only negatives we got out of the others attending the conference were the Reluctant Panther (way over-priced for so little food) and the Landgrove Inn(beautiful Inn to stay at but mediocre food).
