Anniversary Lunch Recommendations Driveable from Fountain Hills

Juli Kaufmann | Dec 29, 201012:47 PM

My husband and I are looking for lunch recommendations. We have a babysitter for our four-year old and are looking forward to a relaxing "adult" lunch to celebrate our anniversary. We are from Wisconsin and staying in Fountain Hills and are willing to drive up to about 40 minutes. So, Cave Creek, for example is OK, and Scottsdale North works well. We don't know the area, and are looking for tomorrow, December 30. We had lunch at Chelsea's Kitchen upon arrival and found it lovely. Something along those lines would be a good fit. Prefer something a bit "foodie" with local sourcing and flair, but not necessary, and not a "steak place" (plenty of those at home). The short notice, location and lunch-hour limit us. Based on other posts and research, sounds like a place like FnB or Binkley's would suit us well. Also had Sassi recommended, but I don't see posts about it. Regardless, those are all dinner-only joints, I believe. We have been to the Farm at South Mountain on a previous trip and loved it as well. So, with all those caveats, it appears that Cafe Bink and Zinc Bistro are on the shortlist. Any validation, contradiction, new ideas, or thoughts we should consider? Appreciate any advice, and we will post our decision and the results. Thank you!
