Anna's Seafood online ordering & delivery (<50 miles from Petaluma)

San Francisco Bay Area Seafood Santa Rosa Sonoma County Grocery Delivery Farmers' Market Eco-Friendly / Eco-Conscious Online Retailers Petaluma Coronavirus

Last Saturday I was happy to shop again at the Healdsburg farmers market and waited more than 20 minutes for my turn at Anna's Seafood booth. I picked up some pristine ling cod fillets and a hunk of hot smoked salmon (identical to the very moist "smoasted salmon" that her father made at Santa Rosa Seafood). Last year Anna was my source for salmon collars, king salmon steaks, and when I'd call ahead to reserve these for pick up at the market, I'd ask for a (complimentary) salmon rack too for making fumet for salmon and corn chowder.

Anna's is also at the Saturday morning Santa Rosa Original Farmers Market at the Burbank center and Sundays in Kensington. The company has just launched an online ordering system and now offers free delivery with $100 minimum order to customers within a 50-mile radius of Petaluma. That range reaches to San Francisco and Oakland.

I no longer go to stores and markets (age) but husband does and we still like everything we have gotten, all very fresh and superbly clean. We usually get piece of fish and generally some sort of collar. It does seem to go faster now that you have to ask for the pieces, because the guys that put it out are the same ones that find stuff for you.

On Monday I had a chance to visit Anna's new location for the first time on my way south. No permanent signage yet, and the temporary one flaps in the Petaluma Gap wind.
