Kotobuki now offering an ankimo appetizer, served with cukes and seaweed in a ponzu-ish (?) sauce. I'm hardly a monkfish-liver aficionado, but I thought this preparation was especially good -- the contrasts really worked. Six bucks -- which for Kotobuki is *really* high-end. Of course, I had a lot of very good sushi (scallops stood out) for under $12, so it was, as usual, a great deal. And the place was packed, in a downpour -- that's what (well-deserved) Sietsema and Kliman raves will do, I guess.
Sssh -- don't tell anyone: This remains one of the best deals in town.
