Angelato Cafe

Tried this new gelato store on Arizona just above the 3rd street promenade in Santa Monica.

They have over a hundred flavors including sorbetto, tofuletto (made from soy milk) and standard gelato.

I actually had the pear sorbetto and the blackberry sorbetto, which were both creamy. I sampled other fruit sorbettos that were more icy.

The few gelato flavors I sampled were good but not great. Straciatella, strawberry, and french vanilla.

The killer was the price. I ordered a single scoop and found it was 3.25. For 3.95, you can get two scoops. Out of principal, I ordered that second scoop.

Decent, but pricy for the miniscule servings. It seems to be doing well though. At night, the line is out of the store around the corner.
