Was planning to grab a hot dog at Spike's when I walked by the newly opened Aneka Rasa on Harvard Ave and decided to try it instead.

They're an offshoot of Penang (owners used to work there) and the menu seems largely similar with a couple differences here and there.

Roti canai's the familiar crisp, flaky and slightly chewy Indian paratha-like bread with a chicken curry dip.

Kuala Lumpur Lor Mee a homey dish - thick yellow wheat noodles cooked soft in a thick starchy broth thickened with egg and served with squid, pork, prawns and napa cabbage, along with an essential side of Chinese vinegar.

Quality of these dishes were similar to the Chinatown Penang. Hope to hear more about other dishes.

P.S. it's at 122 Harvard Ave, Allston
