Anchovy Paste vs Anchovy fillets

Making caesar dressing this weekend, I have an opened tube of anchovy paste in the frig and an unopened can of anchovy fillets, does it make much of a taste differance which one I use? I read that the paste is saltier and also read that approx 1/2-1 tsp of paste equals 1 fillet? Does it really matter which I use?
