Anchovies, Anyone?

Grace Toy | Dec 1, 200101:44 AM

I bought and ate anchovies (packed in olive oil, sorry forgot what brand, but it was Spanish) for the first time. I bought it originally from a National Liquidators in Brooklyn, NY because Jaime Oliver (The Naked Chef, who I love!) suggested it once to bring out the flavor in dishes, but because I was so hungry, I just ate the fish out of the can.
Just wondering what are some cheap brands that are still decent to eat out of the can or to use in the above way (and where can I find it in NYC/Central Jersey/web sites)? And really, what is the difference between that and salt-packed versions?

Thanks a lot,

PS And of course, any recipes would be appreciated, as well!
