I tried Amuse on 18th Street (in the old Tonic space) last evening. The service was a bit slow which I assume is because the restaurant is so new but the space is very inviting with soft lighting and a much better layout than before.
As for the food, I can highly recommend the sashimi and soba noodles dish as well as the braised short ribs. We were a bit disappointed with the grilled sardine appetizer. It was good but a very small portion (literally one sardine). My friends enjoyed the apple beignet dessert. Amuse is very pricey and the portions are definitely tapas size. Definitely worth a try though.
