Amsterdam Marathon carboloading (pasta!) and recovery meals

Prepping for another European marathon and that means a chance for CH suggestions on pre- and post-race dining. The race: Amsterdam Marathon (16 Oct). We are staying at the Amsterdam Marriott so bonus points for suggestions on the first two meals that are within short (!) walking distance or easily reached by public transportation:

--Saturday night carboloading. This is spaghetti, nothing fancy, the bigger the plates the better. Sad to say but delicate sauces, exceptional appetizers and fantastic wine lists are not the goal. Simple presentation, nothing spicy about the sauces and expedient service. (Yes, yes, not the CH norm but keep reading.)

--Sunday night celebration. Last year in Austria the girlfriend and I enjoyed an amazing schnitzel dinner thanks to a CH suggestion. We're looking for a venue to commemorate this race (hopefully after a successful run). The goals here a menu with local/national specialties and preferably bigger portions (hey, it's 42.2 kilometers!).

--Monday night thank-you. She puts up with a lot during 16 weeks of training and this is a way to acknowledge all of her contributions. A romantic air is good, as is a well-rounded wine list and a memorable meal.
