Amsterdam Falafel mini review

After reading about Amsterdam Falafel on this board a while back I finally got the chance to try it last night. I must say, I really enjoyed the food and I'm very happy that there's finally a new option other than giant, greasy slices of Pizza Mart for the after bar munchies. I'm not a falafel afficianado and probably wouldn't know a great one if it bit me, but for my needs, they did it right. Most of my knowledge and experience with falafels comes from eating them at Dead and Phish shows. Some were good, some were horrible, but Amsterdam sits on the good side. I really liked the fixins' bar where you can add what you want. My friend got an order of the frittes and I tried a few of hers. As a fry fan, I loved them! And they have mayo sauce to put on them if you want.

So if anyone is looking for a healthier after bar option in Adams Morgan, or a nice snack whenever, I'd say that Amsterdam Falafel does the job quite nicely.
