'American Style' Wagyu Beef

mtskeeter | Jun 16, 202106:53 PM     4

There were an awful lot of ads in today's grocery pages for 'American Style' Wagyu Beef cuts. The pictures don't look like any Wagyu Beef cuts I've seen, more like NY steak and not marble-y lookin. At $17.99 a pound here (NW Rockies) I don't think I'd invest, but am wondering if any Chowhounds out there are familiar with the 'American Style' Wagyu and your thoughts. I saw some rib eye 'Shabu Shabu' that piqued my curiosity, but like all the beef cuts I see, outta my price range and I could slice my own for probably half the price. Part II: Any ideas for a reasonble cut for a few carnivores on Father's Day? Thank you.
