Amazingly Good 'Za - Windy City

Kivarita | Sep 15, 200512:06 AM     4

So even though Windy City has been pretty positively reviewed by hounds on this board, I was a little doubtful about a place that does pizza *and* BBQ. Tonight was one of those nights though where both Wolf and I got home just late enough to not want to cook. We got a medium (about $20) Windy City combo (pepperoni, sausage, green pepper, mushroom).

I can't say whether it's truly quality Chicago style, but it's some good deep-dish 'za. The dough could probably stand to have a bit more salt, but overall, it was a tasty pie. I think I have to work up my nerve before I try some BBQ, but we'll definitely try their thin crust too. And it was heads and shoulders above Avanti which we tried recently, too.
