I was at ' First Choice ' Supermarket ( Markham ) on Kennedy & Hwy 407 around 12.30 pm.
Noticed they have LIVE BC SPOTTED PRAWNS ON SPECIAL FOR $19.99 A POUND!!! Amazing deal!! No one was paying any attention hence no line up at all!! :D What timing and luck!
Bought two pounds. Everyone was alive and jumping. A few really big ones! Just boiled them in salted water for a minute or two and eat with ' Diced Scallions, Shredded Ginger, Diced Thai Chili ( most seeds removed ), Premium Soy Sauce, sugar, Sizzling Oil ' dipping sauce!
{ Saved some heads for frying down the road, to be eaten as snacks! }
Lovely chewy texture, fresh, sweet and loaded with umami. .....kind of made the dipping sauce redundant?!
