the Most amazing Mango mousse : Whisk et al Bakery&Cafe

don't be fooled by the location (chinatown),this is NOT a chinese bakery at all.

this bakery opened about a year or so, and I knew this place since then, but never had anything special from the many of previous visits.

lately, they've started making Black Hound/Polka Dot type of mini cakes, and these are excellent.they finally nailed it after a year of struggling.

the mango mousse is the most outstanding one from these new mini cakes.they use fresh mango - pretty rare for the bakries in NY, sadly - , you really can taste a real mango.It's very different from the regular
mango mousse that is made from mango juice or canned
mango - these "fake" mango mousse have distinctive un-nutural bright yellow color as you've seen elsewhere -. the mousse is super rich&creamy, yet the texture is very light&silky, and the sweetness is just right.it's $5.

the strawberry mousse, the old fashioned chocolate cake, the raspberry sacher, the cheese cake, the carrot cake are also recommended.

DO NOT TRY the french pastries, especially the almond croissant, not good at all.
