Went to celebrate my mother-in-law's birthday and decided to try this Chinese-vietnamese style seafood restaurant. I had heard raves of this place from a few friends before, and since I love lobster, thought it would worth the wait-time & cost. We were a small party of 6, and went on a Friday afternoon at 5pm. The parking lot was only half full, so that was a relief. We actually only had to wait about 5 minutes, before we were seated in the main dining room (there are some private rooms).
The house special lobster was just amazing, in it's size and freshness. We ordered the 5 lb. lobster and it arrived very quickly...it was cracked and easy to eat, but do expect to get your hands and napkin full of the delicious sauce. The price of the lobster came out to $91, so it isn't an inexpensive dish, but well worth it IMO. We also ordered several other dishes, of which I loved the beef loc lac, as well as the the sauteed peasprouts. The seafood hot sour soup was very good, but it has a definite Vietnamese angle to it.
As we were leaving around 7pm, the number of people crowding the front entryway & even the parking lot must have numbered at least 50 or more...so if you go for dinner, the best time would be to arrive as early as 5pm.
