Aluminum powder in food!!!

billieboy | Apr 15, 200910:52 AM     3

Well...not yet anyway. Let me explain. I have an All-American pressure canner which I love and has seen a lot of use. No complaints. However it does leave a white powder on the jars which I assume is aluminum. No problem really. It wipes right off and of course does not get into the food. But.....I have been thinking of buying a pressure cooker and before I spring for a nice SS one I thought I would try it in the All-American first.
Needless to say, aluminum powder residue on my food does not thrill me. Is there any way I can clean this monster? It has been used and washed many times, but just Soap & Water.
Any ideas?
