How about alternative ethnic foods?

We're chock full of eating establishments rooted in the traditions of Mexico, Italy, France, Thailand, India, China, Japan, Korea, etc...

What about other ethnic restaurants with lower profiles? I've had, for example, great meals at Indonesian (W. LA), Pakistani (Culver City) and Cambodian (Long Beach) establishments over the past year.

Am looking for other places with not-so-established foreign fare. Is there, for example, a restaurant specializing in New Zealand eats (or is lamb or mussles their only export)? How about Swiss, Polynesian, Portuguese, etc? So many countries in the world. Can one experience Aussie BBQ, food cooked in an Iranian clay oven, Morrocan Tagines? It need not be exotic... just somewhat different. I'll give you an example... at Tudor House in Santa Monica once can grab an English pastie for a couple of bucks on the fly... (my parents are Brits). It's not a regular meal, but different enough to swing by and give them a try.
