Finally gave this adorable tapas place a try last night and was very impressed. You walk and your transported out of NYC... love the space, could be romantic. Not too loud lots of space.
Took the recs of a few on the board and went with the steak tartar... a huge huge serving (which scared me because everything else was very small. were they getting rid of it?) Regardless it was delicious.
On another rec we tried the lamb meatballs, which were bland, non-descript, and could have gone without.
The cauliflower with clams and raisins was delicious and a very interesting combo with the sweet and the clam... was almost like a stuffing and could have used some more butter
Tuna tataki was the blandest of the dishes. It was served with a cucumber salad and Moroccan yogurt, curry, paprika dip.
The ribs!!!!! were amazing. Sticky gooey, sweet sweet ribs. When they brought us a second order by mistake we got so excited, but they came over and took them away before we could get our greasy paws on them. None-the-less, we ordered another rack when they stole the other tables back.
We finished off with the duck and it was lean, a bit chewy but flavorful with a nice layer of fat under the very crispy skin. Served with a scallop potato terrine the flavors melded very well and would definitely have it again.
All of this was for two hungry people, and the perfect amount.
A bit pricey, but with a bottle of wine it came to 60 per person including tip.
Worth the trip.
