al's beef and mario's lemonade and tournesol

Just wanted to share - had my 2nd beef, first time at Al's (on Taylor). WOW - it was so good! I had it with hot peppers and dipped, and it was soggy and extraordinarily tasty - there was some elusive sweet spice that just knocked it out of the park. My other beef experience was not nearly as good. My cow-orkers, who I dragged there ("but we don't like Al's") also liked it, though the consensus was that it should either have had more meat or cost a dollar less.

Afterwards, we stopped at Mario's for the last italian lemonade of the season - Peach. It was peach, there may have been pieces of nectarine, but peach for sure. Yum. The pineapple was really good, too.

We went to Tournesol for dinner, where they gave us a nice wine upgrade because the one we ordered wasn't available - they had just sold the last bottle.

I suspect I'll never get a Teevee, but I did have great chow today :)
