I am looking for a particular almond cookie recipe. These cookies are incredibly crispy and thin, almost flat with irregular shapes. The tops look lacy, and you can barely make out that they have almonds in them, which appear in the center of the cookie, the thickest part which is almost always no more than 1/8" in. thick. The almonds are ground I guess. I've seen variations of this cookie, some plain, and some with sesame seeds. Can you help? These are addictive, but at $12/lb. at the gourmet bakery (15 miles away!), it's pretty scary on my wallet.
