Alive and Kicking, Cambridge - review

Inspired by the below post on lobster rolls, I decided to try out Alive and Kicking, especially as it's located within walking distance from my apartment and I figured that a lobster roll would cheer me up, as I've had to return to this miserably cold weather in Boston.

It's not served in a roll, but rather on slices of twice-toasted bread (apparently some kind of Portuguese bread, according to the reviews I saw posted on the board). I didn't think that the lobster part was too mayonnaise-y, contrary to other posters' opinions. Don't know how much lobster was actually in the sandwich, but there was enough to be satisfying. Yum.

$8.99 for the sandwich with a bag of chips. They also have a $11.99 special for the sandwich with a cup of chowder, which I will definitely have to try next time. Also left with a pound of salmon for $6.50.

I rather like the cheery red lobsters spray-painted all over the parking lot.
