Ali Baba Mediterranean Gone -- One Less FiDi Mediterranean Source

Happened to walk by 308 Kearny this afternoon (near corner of Bush) and noticed that Ali Baba Mediterranean is closed for good, so now there's one less source for Mediterranean food in SF's FiDi. Not that the place was unique in any way, but they were a good downtown source of affordable lamb, kefta kebab, and hummus, babaganoush, etc. at reasonable prices.

In their former window, there's now a red and white banner proclaiming: "Opening Soon -- Kimi's Pizza". Anyone know or heard anything about this place?

Now, we're down to Baladie across the street, Leila Mediterranean in the Crocker Galleria, maybe Krivaar Cafe on Bush around the corner, and possibly Oasis Grill on Drumm for sources of decent gyros. Any others in the FiDi worth trying?

Oh well, I guess I shouldn't complain -- as it's still merely a quick BART ride from FiDi to Civic Center for Gyro King and their tasty offerings...
