The Albright, Santa Monica Pier: Any thoughts?

phamschottler | Feb 25, 2014 12:01 PM

I heard that The Albright (which opened December 2013) was a re-branded, mega-upgrade to SM Pier Seafood. I’d never been to SM Pier Seafood (and frankly never even heard of it), but I went to The Albright on a whim last week and enjoyed their Spicy Seafood Soup (photo attached). Like, really, really enjoyed it. It was a piping hot bowl of perfectly spicy tomato broth filled with what seemed like endless amounts of tasty seafood (I liked the springy squid best) and a small bowl of jasmine rice on the side. It was HUGE. Throw in another rice bowl or fries, and this could have fed 3 people. Has anyone else been yet? Interested in other opinions.
