Alameda NoodleFest

Ruth Lafler | Sep 26, 200301:33 PM

I had to read in the newspaper this morning that they're holding the Alameda NoodleFest next door tomorrow.

"Try foods from Chinese chow mein to Filipino pancit, Japanese somen, Korean chap chae and udon at Alameda's NoodleFest. The tasting event, which will also feature cooking demonstrations, children's activities, massage and Reiki treatment, is a fund-raiser for the Buena Vista Community Institute, a nonprofit social justice organization.

Alameda 11:30 a.m.-3 p.m. Saturday, noodles served noon-2:30 p.m. 2311 Buena Vista Ave. $12 in advance, $15 at door, $8 seniors, $5 children. (510) 522-2688."

Ironically, I'll be at a chowdown in the South Bay.
