Discovering that this restaurant is located in a Ramada Inn gave me pause. I decided, however, to overlook the unlikely location and try the nine dollar lunch buffet. I can definitely recommend it! Tandoori Chicken first rate, and the clay oven was also put to good use making some really wonderful Naan. Loved the tamarind sauce to dip the Naan in, as well as one made with yogurt and onion. There was also a VERY spicy kind of pickled rind chutney to go with the Naan that I didn't care for, but that was an exception in an otherwise delicious meal. The Lamb Rogan Josh was fork tender, and the Chicken Curry Masala had lovely hits of coriander. The chef has a wonderful hand with vegetables, the Navaratan Curry of assorted vegetables was very creamy and I believe included some coconut milk. There was also a red curried chick pea dish that was excellent, as well as some spiced fried eggplant. The Vegetable Pakora was slightly less successful, but I believe that was largely a matter of a fried item sitting in a buffet tray not holding as well as did the curry dishes. I suspect the Pakora would be excellent freshly made at dinner. Basmati rice, of course, well prepared, as was a very sweet version of rice pudding for dessert. As to level of heat, I was close to my limit on spiciness with most of the items, and a little over the edge with a few! This isn't Indian food for sissies!
Service attentive, buffet area clean. Indian music, but not especially loud. Parking convenient in Ramada Inn parking lot.
