A&J in Rolling Hills Plaza, Torrance for Chinese goodies

Hi, all:

As the board had suggested for chinese beef noodle soup, I tried A&J in Rolling Hills Plaza on Rolling Hills Road in Torrance. The same plaza as Ralphs and the TEMPEST restaurant just posted on the board.

The beef noodle soup is very good. It has more beef tendon than Sue's Kitchen on Crenshaw in Torrance. The broth is spicy and excellent. The noodle themselves are average. I got the thin kind.

The fish fillet rice combination is REALLY good, also suggested by this board. It has a huge piece of fried fish fillet on top of white rice, with mustard greens, a soy sauce egg, and some seaweed salad and minced pork on the side. For $ 6.44 including tax, it was great!

For all you chinese food lovers, just a warning, the restaurant has JUST changed management three weeks ago and was sold to a JAPANESE boss. Now the restaurant has renamed themselves INABA Tei. But they still have a few of the classics as mentioned above.

It is definitely worth a try for those of you who are adventurous and want to try something other than the conventional cantonese style chinese food.
