New Aisan Market in Mountain View

In the past when we needed fresh seafood and Aisan vegetables we had to go to the South Bay or up to Daly City. The only market was Marnia in Foster City but I have never like the freshest seafood.
Soon there will be a 99Ranch in Foster City but it is still under construction.
But two week ago on the recommendation I tried Golden Phoenix located 580 Rengstorff at the corner of Middlefield. I was told it was a old Albertsen's.
The store is clean and not as fully stocked as I would like but they have been open less than two months.
They have a limited Chinese deli and a made to order Vietnamese sandwich sections.
The standout is the fresh meat and fish sections. Lot of good looking beef and pork.
I have really like the price of the shrimp and fish. The have a speical on headless small/medium shrimp for $1.99 and forzen taipia fillet for the same price. The Alfredo sauce with both with pasta came out great. On weekends they have a lot of fresh looking shellfish.
On three visits I have found the vegetable really outstanding on two visits and a little old on the third. The day the produce was least fresh was during th middle of the week. The other two was near the weekends.
In the past Aisan markets I found were a little crowded and messy. This the second one I have found that is clean with lot of room. Of course free parking and lot of that too.
The serve is real good. I just hope they get more items in.
