Do airlines still serve kosher meals frozen?

Bride of the Juggler | Jan 22, 2004 07:56 AM

I used to order kosher meals on airplanes. Half the time, they would be inside a cardboard Lufthansa SkyMeals box. Since the flight attendants are instructed not to open kosher meals, they would never see the heating instructions written on the actual meal (inside the sealed box) so I would get it frozen. Does this still happen, or have they fixed the problem? I usually bring my own food now, since you can't rely on them to have your special meal anyway. Thank you.
