Aidell's sausages

Joy | Jan 6, 2006 01:20 PM

I've developed an addiction to Aidell's chicken mango sausages. It's enough of an addiction that I'm wondering who's got the best prices.

The 12 oz packages range from $6 to $7 at various supermarkets and the Farmer's Market. Lunardi's sells them for $6.99/lb, which is the best price I've seen, but given how much I've been eating them, I'm wondering if there's anywhere around that sells them cheaper.

I think the reason I like these so much is the nice blend of flavors (especially the big chunks of mango) and the fact that, unlike most other sausages, they're not too spicy for me. Most sausages I've eaten tasted to me like combinations of tasteless meat, unchewable gristle and sharp bursts of painful peppers. Given my inabilities in the spice area, anyone have other sausages to recommend?
