Agora Churrascaria Irvine

obscuro | Jul 21, 2005 02:59 AM

I had lunch @ Agora on Monday 7/18;

Salad bar was well stocked with high quality ingredients:
Prosciutto, salami
Fresh Mozzarella with basil and tomato
Fresh baby greens
Artisanal bread
Eggplant salad

Hot food bar included:
Mashed potato's
black bean soup
and much more...

The grilled meats were excellent; Picanha was rare and delicious (melts in your mouth), top sirloin was also very good; they served a parmigian encrusted pork loin (savory) and a marinated pork loin that really surprised me (flavor was bright, with a citrus garlic undertone); chicken was good; tri-tip and skirt steak were both good.

Down sides:
Brazilian sausages were a little undercooked (I'm used to a well done sausage with a snap)
Filet mignon wrapped with bacon (tasted a lot like the skirt steak).

Service was excellent, drinks were refilled quickly and often.

All for $19 plus drinks and tax; a great deal for a lot of good food.
$35 for dinner
