I will be visiting NYC this week and am looking for an afternoon tea place--in a hotel, opulent setting, leaning more to sweet than savory. I have been all over the web plus the archives of this site looking for good reviews but can't find anything substantial--just listings or brief comments. Has anyone been to the Plaza recently, the Carlyle or the Hotel Pierre? How about the Stanhope or Lowell (recommended here two years ago)?
Thanks in advance,
Shelly
