Afternoon/High Tea in or near Asheville

Helind | Jan 14, 201603:01 PM     14

I made a reservation at the the Inn on the Biltmore Estate for afternoon tea for Valentine's Day last week. The next day I received a message on my machine that the reservation had been cancelled, and that they would not be offering tea on Valentine's Day. Going to tea at the Inn on Valentine's Day has become a tradition for my husband and me. I'm hoping there's a Chowhound out there who has another idea about where we might go. I already checked the Grove Park Inn; they don't offer afternoon tea. Just to be clear, I'm talking about a leisurely tea with sandwiches, scones and other sweets in a lovely setting. Thanks!
