An Afternoon of Goodies below 14th St.

Kerry | Mar 16, 2003 05:05 PM

We began our afternoon with a smoked salmon Eggs Benedict (with fresh-squeezed OJ, cappucinos, roasted potatoes and salad) at Cafe Mogador (8th St. and 1st Ave.). Then we picked up some delicious coffee at the new Kudos Beans (1st Ave. around the old Bulgin' Waffles spot). We stopped in at JAS Mart to admire the linzer tarts, then went over to Sullivan St. Bakery for pizza bianca, pizza al pomodoro, pizza with celery root, pizza with pecorino, tortina di cioccolato, and fruit crostata. Then it was over to The Yogurt Place for whole-milk yogurt with sour cherry topping and chopped walnuts.

(Not yet finished, we went over to Whole Foods Market(above 14th St...), where they are selling raisin-studded Irish soda bread in honor of St. Patty's. I think I am full now.
