My sister is coming to the U.S. for the first time this week. She is English and travels in Europe so is used to fantastic Indian, Pakistani and European food. I figure she won't have had much Pacific Rim and American cuisine. I will be bringing her to S.F. They have ben reading up on S.F. and are very excited! I live in Southern California. Would like a recommendation, please, for a good lunch-time restaurant in Chinatown, the Castro, North Beach and any other place which would appeal to first-timers to the city. (Not Fisherman's wharf!). Also - we have reservations at First Crush for dinner. Is this good? Also would like to take her to dinner to a quintesentially California restaurant with a good wine list without breaking the bank. Thanks for any recommendations y'all can give. Have included my e-mail. Feel free to contact me directly. I haven't seen her for eight years and I want her trip to be memorable in every respect.
