Affordable clad triply cookware in Canada?

Dangaard | Mar 31, 2015 11:10 AM

Not sure if this topic is better in here or in Cookware but we'll see how this goes here first. I'm looking to finally replace my set of non stick cookware and am looking for a decent set of SS tri-ply clad cookware. Mostly I'm looking for a 12" skillet since I HATE lugging out my enameled dutch oven every time I want to sear/deglaze/roast something, but I wouldn't mind a set either. Either way, a brand where I can find a set with a 12" skillet and a 5qt saute pan with a lid (probably prefer stainless, not glass) in it would be what I'm looking for, or a brand that also has open stock available for purchase.

Now the thing is, All-Clad is waaaay out of my price range. After everything I've read, I was hoping to be able to get the super affordable triply clad Tramontina set, but was disappointed to find that it's impossible to track down in Canada. Walmart doesn't list it online here, and I found it listed on the Canadian Bed Bath & Beyond website but it's no longer available and I didn't find it in the store. I can't even find it on our Amazon. I swear every time I go online shopping for almost anything I get mad at the price/availability differences between here and the states.

So, does anybody have any recommendations for SS tri-ply clad cookware that's still highly affordable? Now I do have a friend coming back from the states at the end of July and I did ask him to look into if he could bring that Tramontina set back for me, but I'd prefer not to bother him with it if I can find something similar here. I live in Edmonton in terms of my access to retailers.
