I recommended Green Zebra in Chicago to a vegetarian girlfriend who went there w/ a crowd and they all loved it. Now I'm known as the food guru for our clique, but I'm stymied w/ this one:
My friend is a 27 year old grad student, and she's veg. (no seafood, but not vegan) Though not poor, the vegetarian tasting menu at Daniel seems a bit out of her range. I recommended Prune, and any of Mario's places downtown, but she's staying on 52nd street.
She's not a serious foodie, so I think a hip and trendy scene would be important as much as food quality, but of course I want it to be good food. I'm not looking for a completely veg restaurant, just some place where they can be well accomodated. Thanks!
