I will be making my usual delicious whipped cream for a chocolate layer cake. The whipped cream is heavy cream and confectioners sugar and a touch of vanilla extract. Since the cake is for my daughter I was thinking of coloring the whipped cream with a few drops of food coloring...let's say six drops. Will this affect my whipped cream at all taste wise or texturally? Does it matter when, in the sequence of whipping, this should be added? Thanks!!
