I've got an English copper whistling teapot that needs retinning. It cost me $40 in a junk store, and I've seen them In WS catalog for $100, so I think I'd like to invest in retinning. Anyone know of a shop in southern CA?( I live in SLO county) Anyone with experience in retinnning? I'm not actually sure it is 'tinned' on the inside--it almost looks like a galvanized lining, sort of a dull matte grey, but whichever, it's starting to show copper through on the inside. I only use it for heating water, but am alarmed at the copper showing through. I read the 2002 copper pots thread, am looking for more counsel.
