advice sought for blender purchase

Hi! I know there have been several threads on this topic, but I haven't been able to dig them up.

I am in the market for a moderately priced blender that I can use for dressings, smoothies, hard cheeses, etc.
We keep a kosher kitchen, and I am trying to expand my capabilities without overloading on appliances, for which I don't have a lot of room. I have a nice Cusinart food processor, but I keep it pareve, meaning I can't use it for dairy or meat products.

I thought I would go with a blender for dairy.
Any ideas or recommendations for something that won't burn out in a year or two, and that is easy to clean?

Does anyone know of a company that sells extra bowls and blades, i.e., everything but the base motor unit?
