Need some advice on pork stew cooking times

MsBees | Feb 9, 201708:42 AM     17

Hi all, I'm in New England and we are in the middle of a snow storm. So it seems like the perfect day for a hearty stew :). Anyway, for a number of years my hubby can't eat beef. But can eat pork. I would like to use pork instead of beef in my stew recipe that I've missed making. The beef stew I make cooks ontop of the stove for about 2 to 2 1/2 hours. The potatoes and carrots were added half way through.
I imagine pork would cook for a shorter amount of time. But most of the recipes I've seen to compare use a slow cooker which I don't have. I will be using cubed pork loin. How long do you think the stew should cook for very tender pork cubes? Thanks in advance for your help :)
