Advice needed regarding a defrosted steak

CHSeifert | Jul 10, 202101:14 PM     9

My father had a huge 750 gram wagyu steak in the freezer and would serve it for me for dinner at his place. He took it out at around noon and placed it in the fridge for 5-6 hours, but unfortunately I had to cancel our dinner together as I had extra work to do at the office.

So instead of eating it for dinner, he placed it back into the freezer, where it still is now.He said it still felt very cold - so he had no worries about placing it back into the freezer.
He just asked me, if we should have it for dinner soon, but I'm a bit reluctant as my stomach is extremely sensitive and I'm not sure the steak is still fresh to eat.

Would you take the chance or not ?
I need advice here - it's a very costly piece of meat, wagyu from Australia.

Cheers, Claus
