A change in my husband's work schedule means that we have to give up our planned 15-day trip to Thailand -- and that I now have two weeks of vacation in mid-March that I have to take or lose.
Soooo ... I'm looking for input from anyone that's got experience or reliable word-of-mouth about cooking schools in France or Italy. There are a ton of websites out there, and I'm trying to find something on my own, but I trust y'all a lot more than any tour site.
I'm a fairly experienced cook, and would love to find something oriented toward small groups with LOTS of hands-on time -- no sitting and watching for hours on end, please. I'm leaning toward the south, as it's been a long, bleak, cold winter here in Belgium and I'm dying for sun and warmth. My preference is for France, as there wouldn't be a language problem as there would be in Italy -- but I can be flexible.
