Adventurous Philly foodies going to Miami for 5 days: recs anywhere in the area please

middleagedfoodie | Mar 4, 201802:47 PM     6

We have a reservation at Kyo and we're considering Niu in downtown area. We'll have a car, so we're not limited. Our friend who lives on Adventure Island says we need to try Fiorito in Little Haiti. The last time we were in Miami, 6 years ago, we went to Michaels Genuine in the Design District and we were seriously underwhelmed. Other places that underwhelmed us were Tujo, which we used to like a lot and Juvia which just seemed like an overpriced scene. Any really great Cuban? Maybe I'm too damned fussy but Versailles is like a diner and Puerto Sagua is fun, but just for coffee and postres. Since we're from Philly where we can get our fill of really good Italian, unless it's totally unique, no Italian please. I'd like places with a south Florida or Latin flare. We love the Wynwood neighborhood so please tell us what you like there. But, really anything you love, wherever, tell us, please.
