hi there - I am making a tower of rice krispie squares (with a small frosted cake on top with bride and groom for cutting) for our wedding. I saw it in an old issue of martha stewart as a huge birthday cake - Martha did it for the CEO of Kmart's b-day celebration - and it goes well with the theme of our very untraditional wedding.
My question is how far in advance can I make the squares and how should I store them until the big day when they'll be assembled on the tower? I'm doing this all myself so I don't want to be making pan after pan of squares the night before the wedding but at the same time I don't want them to be all hard and dried out.
