Addys Tandoori on Venice

My permanent hankering for Indian food several times a week erupted today. Addys has a channa masala served with buttered papperdums (sp?) which has a really intense flavor, tasty, peppery and kind of velvet on the palate. OK I like it! and with a little raita on the side. Also ordered meat pakora which was not the mountainous dome of a couple of months ago and not quite as delicious and ordered Chai to drink. Partner had the buffet lunch for $6.99 - very good though limited selection - salad, daal with anoki beans or is it anuki?, beef korma which was the Pakistani kind and more like a beef kheema with a very rich sauce; tikki chicken wings, rice, mixed vegetables (very good), several freshly made chutneys, naan; all made in small quantities - the chef came out three times while we were there to add to the dishes. Very light, nice atmosphere, cloth napkins, Addi the owner is the server with his father in the office. Good parking, in a strip mall on Venice Blvd at Vinton which is west of Brotman hospital and east of Motor.
