Accidental graham crust for my pumpkin pie

Has anyone else used graham crackers for their pumpkin pie? Usually pumpkin makes my pie crust soggy, so I blind-bake it beforehand, but I had made so many apple pies that I ran out of pie dough and didn't feel like making any more, so I crushed some graham crackers instead, and it turned out to be delicious! No soggy crust, with much-added flavor. Did I discover something great, or have I just been clueless all these years? :-)
