They're at the Northeast corner University and Dale, next door to Saigon, and have been open since late March.
I'd driven by a few times, and went there for the first time today, and had some great stuff. They serve breakfast, lunch, and dinner, although you can order from the dinner menu during the day. It doesn't look like much from the outside, and the inside is presentable, but certainly nothing special.
The food, on the other hand, was special. The lunch menu has some interesting sandwich options, but the dinner menu has the Soul Food - and thats what I had set out to try. I had the BBQ Rib Tips, with Candied Yams and Deep Fried Corn as my sides. All were incredible.
The chicken wings, Collard Greens, and Macaroni and Cheese were also recommended. The woman who took my order (who was very friendly and helpful) did say that I'd have a hard time finding better Yams anywhere - she was right!
It looks like the owner/chef has been in catering for a while, judging by the "Cooking for the Stars" display on the wall. Among the concert riders of events they've catered were Ozzy Osborne, KISS, Tim McGraw, Mary J. Blige, and D'Angelo. There's also a couple of pictures of the owner/chef cooking on TV.
There's seating for about 20 people in the place, although there were only 2 people eating there when I stopped in for lunch today. As if University Avenue didn't have enough chowhound goodness, this is a great addition to the area.
